  1. New City: Hong Kong (Cantonese) πŸ‡πŸ‡°

Cantonese is often overlooked and not included in most language apps. However, it’s spoken by over 85 million people with wide distribution in cities across North America and Europe. A strong community exists to preserve this language and a need to pass it on to younger generations.

  2. Real News

I would like to suggest to include current events or major news within Sweden or around the world in the topics under nyheter mission. As of the moment, it seems to always talk about climate problem. A little bit of variety on the topics would be amazing.

  4. School Location

I want a dedicated 'school level' in the game that focuses specifically on practicing various aspects of grammar, so that I can target my weak points, understand grammatical structures better, and become more proficient in using the language correctly.

  5. Daily/Weekly Quests

I appreciate having clear, specific objectives to guide my learning. I want quests in the game that set concrete goals, like achieving certain performance metrics or practicing specific scenarios, so that I can focus on tangible targets, making my language learning more structured, measurable, and rewarding.

  7. Salon/Barber Location

I think this would be useful because many people go to a hair salon/barber shop regularly. A language barrier is also very stressful at a salon or barber shop, and it requires some specialized vocabulary if you want a specific thing done. You could make it just hair, or you could have different people there that talk about nail and spa stuff too in order to add some variety to it.

  8. Shopping centre/ mall

I think with the grocery store location being added a location for a shopping mall would be good where you can have conversations with staff members, stores for different things for e.g. a shoe store, perfume store or a store for suits or everyday clothes. There's so many different subtopics you could add in a mall location

  10. Add new cities: Jakarta and Manila along with beginner-friendly features for gradual language learning.

i think it would be valuable to add new cities Jakarta and Manila (Bahasa Indonesia and Tagalog) as both languages have a large number of native speakers. Additionally, the app currently seems better suited for users with some prior experience in the language. I suggest incorporating features or content designed specifically for beginners, allowing them to build up their skills gradually. Overall, I really enjoy the app and appreciate the work behind it - I just want to see it become even better.

  11. Vocabulary Trainer

I often struggle to remember and use new words. I want a vocabulary trainer that's part of the game, so that it becomes easier for me to learn, recall, and confidently use a wider range of words in my conversations.

  13. "Texting" with your AI learning buddy

The same way Duolingo and others allow for "streak freezes" which are a form of lenience on the routine of practice, I think it would be cool if LL allowed you to (maybe 3 times a month) use a "joker" to text with your AI avatars (or texting a loop provides waaaay less points/coins or something). Not as a replacement for speaking, but moreso for: the times when you can't speak out loud for 8 minutes and it's easier to textlearning how to text in general (my wife pointed out she can speak really well in German but can't text cause of the accents, same in Spanish)

It would be interesting to practice shorter phone calls; order, make appointments, etc...

  15. Speaking vs Listening Mode

I want the game to let me choose whether I practise speaking or listening comprehension. In listening mode, the avatar would speak 80% of the time. In speech mode, I would speak most of the time.
