  1. "Texting" with your AI learning buddy

The same way Duolingo and others allow for "streak freezes" which are a form of lenience on the routine of practice, I think it would be cool if LL allowed you to (maybe 3 times a month) use a "joker" to text with your AI avatars (or texting a loop provides waaaay less points/coins or something). Not as a replacement for speaking, but moreso for: the times when you can't speak out loud for 8 minutes and it's easier to textlearning how to text in general (my wife pointed out she can speak really well in German but can't text cause of the accents, same in Spanish)

  2. Vocabulary Trainer

I often struggle to remember and use new words. I want a vocabulary trainer that's part of the game, so that it becomes easier for me to learn, recall, and confidently use a wider range of words in my conversations.

  3. Pronunciation Feedback

I want the game to give me immediate feedback on my pronunciation, so that I can learn from my mistakes and feel more assured that I'm speaking correctly.

  4. Add a Friend

I would like to follow a friend that already has the app installed, so we can see each other progress. Right now, the "add friend" link only works if the person i'm sending to doesn't have the app installed yet; there needs to be a way to add a friend via their in-app player ID!

  5. Hands-free mode

Enable people to use LingoLooper hands-free with voice control, for instance when driving a car.

  6. Phone Call Mode

It would be interesting to practice shorter phone calls; order, make appointments, etc...

  7. More realistic and natural conversations

I absolutely love this app but I realized that the conversations are sometimes very unnatural, strange, and unrealistic. The person i talk to doesnโ€™t adapt to what I say. The reason I am learning Norwegian is because many people in my church are Norwegian so I want to be able to talk to them and understand them. When I was talking to the AI about spirituality, it was very weird because she kept talking about snowballs. I tried to change the conversation but every time i said something she would say something about snowballs. I told the AI to stop talking about snowballs and she kept yapping about snowballs, how does that have anything to do with faith or spirituality? I would really appreciate more realistic conversations and better ADAPTIVE learning. Thanks

  8. Higher-level feedback

Right now we already have nice granular feedback on each line of a conversation, but it can sometimes be a little daunting to step through and review everything step by step. It would be really nice to also get feedback on the conversation as a whole - pointing out things like common repeated mistakes, monotony, and anything else that takes the full conversation into account. I am thinking something more longform than the grammar and fluency scores we currently get - more like text-based AI-generated critique. Likewise, feedback on all conversations that you've had so far could also be really interesting to keep an eye on overall progress. (In the interim, being able to export our conversations to do this ourselves could also work!)

  9. Download all transcripts for a language

It would be great to be able to download all transcripts for a language, to be able to review and study them later!

  11. Achievements

I'm motivated by milestones and recognitions of my progress. I want an achievements system in the game, so that I can have clear goals to aim for, feel a sense of accomplishment when I reach them, and stay motivated in my language learning journey.

  12. Celebrity avatars (historical figures)

Ask Einstein to explain the theory of relativity in German, chat with Edith Piaf about what inspired her songs in French or have a conversation with Astrid Lindgren and tell her what you think about her famous Swedish children's stories. Broaden your cultural and historical knowledge in your target language in a fun and interesting way.

  13. Vacation vs Immigration Mode

As an immigrant, I have completely different requirements for learning a language than a vacationer. In addition to everyday things (restraurant, cafe, movie theater, shopping, grocery shopping, pharmacy,...) that would also affect me as a vacationer, there are, for example, visits to the authorities, housing, labor market, taxes (...).

  14. Streak save

Iโ€™m just going to be honest: I want a streak save, please. Iโ€™m on day 72, I think, for two reasons: I really enjoy this app as I like how you can continue conversations with characters and I really enjoy practicing my languages. I think this app is perfect as it is. The thing is Iโ€™m really sick right now, laryngitis, and I canโ€™t speak for the life of me, and it doesnโ€™t look like Iโ€™m going to be able to speak soon. So Iโ€™m doing all kind of ridiculous things to keep my streak, which for some reason, is pretty important to me as you can understand๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ. So Mr. LingoLooper, can we have something as simple as a pause button ? Please? Thank you.

  15. Adjust formality level

I learn Polish and everything is in the informal level in the conversations. This is not realistic as daily interactions are way more formal, e.g. in public life such as shopping. There should be different formality levels for different avatars.
