  1. MSA avatar in Arabic

Hi dev, I would like to request a feature: an avatar or a setting that enables the avatar to speak exclusively in MSA (Modern Standard Arabic). Since MSA is widely taught and understood throughout the Arabic-speaking world, this could be very helpful for learners.

  2. Vocabulary Trainer

I often struggle to remember and use new words. I want a vocabulary trainer that's part of the game, so that it becomes easier for me to learn, recall, and confidently use a wider range of words in my conversations.

  3. School Location

I want a dedicated 'school level' in the game that focuses specifically on practicing various aspects of grammar, so that I can target my weak points, understand grammatical structures better, and become more proficient in using the language correctly.

  4. Dark Mode

As a frequent player, especially during evenings and nights, I often find the standard bright interface straining to my eyes in low-light conditions. I want a dark mode option in the game, so that I can continue learning comfortably without eye strain, making my language practice sessions more enjoyable and sustainable.

  5. Select a time to get practice reminder notifications

I often have to snooze notifications because I get them at random times during the day, it would be great to be able to choose a specific time to get reminders :)

  6. Verb conjugation

We probably all struggle with learning the conjugations. I think it would be great to be able to see during conversations how to conjugate verbs. It would be amazing to have a verb list you can easily access.

  7. Pronunciation Feedback

I want the game to give me immediate feedback on my pronunciation, so that I can learn from my mistakes and feel more assured that I'm speaking correctly.

It would be great to be able to download all transcripts for a language, to be able to review and study them later!

  10. Celebrity avatars (historical figures)

Ask Einstein to explain the theory of relativity in German, chat with Edith Piaf about what inspired her songs in French or have a conversation with Astrid Lindgren and tell her what you think about her famous Swedish children's stories. Broaden your cultural and historical knowledge in your target language in a fun and interesting way.

  11. Vacation vs Immigration Mode

As an immigrant, I have completely different requirements for learning a language than a vacationer. In addition to everyday things (restraurant, cafe, movie theater, shopping, grocery shopping, pharmacy,...) that would also affect me as a vacationer, there are, for example, visits to the authorities, housing, labor market, taxes (...).

  14. Multiplayer style life conversations with other people on the app.

It would be super cool and a really intuitive way to learn. With people being able to create their custom avatars along with it. So you would be able to have live conversations with other learners, or with people you've added through the app. It would also double as a great way to find people to practice languages with outside of LingoLooper.

  15. New Learning Features

I think that LingoLooper is great but I think a few features are missing. I think there should be a section that highlights your biggest and most used mistakes when speaking. I also think that there should be a section that has commonly used phrases in the language. I also think there should be a «Most common mistakes made by new learners» or something similar. A «grammar rules» section would be also be cool. It just lists the rules and some example sentences. If this will be done, state the rules in a simple and concise manner. Maybe even a «special grammar rules» section. For example, (not sure how many languages do this) Norwegian words are either masculine, feminine, or neuter. For example: et hus → a house (neuter) ei bok → a book (feminine) en stol → a chair (masculine) and you kind of just have to know or guess, which is hard. If there’s a way to somehow simplify how the rule works or maybe make a list (that would be a long list lol) of the nouns. Also some others that I won’t speak too much on because they are already being worked on, but here they are anyway. A texting mode (maybe you can’t speak in the moment) A bookmark/highlight word or phrase option
