Vocabulary Trainer
I often struggle to remember and use new words. I want a vocabulary trainer that's part of the game, so that it becomes easier for me to learn, recall, and confidently use a wider range of words in my conversations.

Create Your Own Characters
I often want to tell the character who to be so that it’ll be directly applicable to my life. That would be so amazing. For example, I haven’t met a kid character yet and I wanted to practice telling the kids I teach chorus that I learned a bit of their language and to try teaching in the language. The Free Talk is nice because you can choose to talk about music for example, but the character won’t pretend to be 5 and in a music class for you. Anyway, I understand if that’s too hard to implement and I appreciate the space to make suggestions!

Speaking vs Listening Mode
I want the game to let me choose whether I practise speaking or listening comprehension. In listening mode, the avatar would speak 80% of the time. In speech mode, I would speak most of the time.

Celebrity avatars (historical figures)
Ask Einstein to explain the theory of relativity in German, chat with Edith Piaf about what inspired her songs in French or have a conversation with Astrid Lindgren and tell her what you think about her famous Swedish children's stories. Broaden your cultural and historical knowledge in your target language in a fun and interesting way.

Dark Mode
As a frequent player, especially during evenings and nights, I often find the standard bright interface straining to my eyes in low-light conditions. I want a dark mode option in the game, so that I can continue learning comfortably without eye strain, making my language practice sessions more enjoyable and sustainable.

Have the avatars talk more about themselves
the avatars are always asking about us in every line, if they talk more we can ask them about stuff

Relationship Dynamics & Avatar Personalities
I'd like to see more relationship options - family, friends, romantic interests, coworkers, and even rival/enemy dynamics. The idea is to make the conversations and scenarios feel more natural, immersive, and varied. It would also be nice for the avatars to be more opinionated and not always so nice, so that the enemy dynamic feels more lifelike and the experience becomes more engaging.

evil mode (avatars being mean and swearing)
Sometimes I insult an avatar, yet they remain overly friendly and don't respond appropriately. That annoys me. To make avatars feel less robotic, add an optional 'evil mode'. Avatars could start mildly rude and react to insults in varied, believable ways. Suggested archetypes: Boundary — asks you to stop and threatens to leave. Aggressor — insults back. Stoic — replies calmly and wisely. Passive-aggressive — curt and polite; creates subtle tension. Sarcastic — uses ironic dismissal. Defensive — sets a firm boundary. Humorous — defuses with jokes or self-deprecation. Educator — explains why the comment is offensive. Empathic — reflects the user's emotion and redirects. Mirror — repeats the insult as a question to prompt reflection. Ignore — silent or delayed response as passive penalty. Escalator — matches hostility; high risk of conflict. Consequence-driven — warns and then takes action (mute/end). Playful — light provocation that invites banter. Meta — reminds the user this is a character and reframes the insult.

Create your own topic
It would be great to have a “DIY” stop (along with the cafe, gym, hospital, etc) where you could type a sentence (or pick within a much more diverse group of topics if easier) on what you wanted to speak about to prep the avatar for the conversation! It would also be great if occasionally you could choose to speak first!

Diverse characters
Age, Accent, Personality, Way of talking, Voice,... Age : from toddler to elder (IRL generations speak differently. If one goes abroad for an exchange or a wedding they may encounter different generations within their host family or in-laws) Accent : common regional and foreign accents (IRL not everyone has a standardised accent. To be able to familiarise yourself with accents we may encounter would be amazing. Furthermore some foreign accents are very common in some countries/cities, such as the Indian accent in the UK) Personality : other than making the experience less redundant, personalities influence the way we speak. (A native can perceive this by hearing another native speaker. If someone is sassy, childish, stoic, reserved, playful...) Way of talking : other than age based vocabulary and personality influenced speech, there are other aspects that influence someone speech. (Like regional based vocabulary/expressions, social background, how chronically online the person is, their job, the hierarchy in place...) Voice : different voices to not get used to only a few (a variation of high, low, fast, slow, loud, quiet, stammer, lisp, mumble, clear...) Looks : the characters look so similar to one another that I don't know who is who and I don't get attached to them that much. Having more diversity in faces and clothing would make it less redundant and more enjoyable. Even really weird/fictional ones could be fun to have like an alien or animals, maybe even local ones like Mothman in the USA, a vampire in Romania, Baba Yaga in slavic countries, classic fairytale characters in France and Germany... Having real characters that are locally based could be interesting as well (like a bodega vendor in New York, a salary man in Tokyo, a lollipop lady in London, a boulangère in Paris)

Add Latvian Language
Latvian is a unique and rich language spoken by approximately 1.5 million people, primarily in Latvia, a dynamic country in the heart of the Baltic region. Introducing Latvian to LingoLooper would not only expand the reach of the platform but also provide invaluable learning support to local users, expats, and language enthusiasts worldwide. Latvia is an EU member with growing international connections in business, tourism, and education. Yet, high-quality Latvian learning tools remain scarce globally. Adding Latvian would position LingoLooper as the go-to platform for modern and immersive Baltic language learning, fostering cultural exchange and diversity. LingoLooper's engaging gamified experience could make mastering Latvian much easier and more enjoyable for a wide audience.

Pronunciation Feedback
I want the game to give me immediate feedback on my pronunciation, so that I can learn from my mistakes and feel more assured that I'm speaking correctly.

"Texting" with your AI learning buddy
The same way Duolingo and others allow for "streak freezes" which are a form of lenience on the routine of practice, I think it would be cool if LL allowed you to (maybe 3 times a month) use a "joker" to text with your AI avatars (or texting a loop provides waaaay less points/coins or something). Not as a replacement for speaking, but moreso for: the times when you can't speak out loud for 8 minutes and it's easier to textlearning how to text in general (my wife pointed out she can speak really well in German but can't text cause of the accents, same in Spanish)

School Location
I want a dedicated 'school level' in the game that focuses specifically on practicing various aspects of grammar, so that I can target my weak points, understand grammatical structures better, and become more proficient in using the language correctly.
