Submit Idea"Texting" with your AI learning buddy
The same way Duolingo and others allow for "streak freezes" which are a form of lenience on the routine of practice, I think it would be cool if LL allowed you to (maybe 3 times a month) use a "joker" to text with your AI avatars (or texting a loop provides waaaay less points/coins or something). Not as a replacement for speaking, but moreso for: the times when you can't speak out loud for 8 minutes and it's easier to textlearning how to text in general (my wife pointed out she can speak really well in German but can't text cause of the accents, same in Spanish)

Speaking vs Listening Mode
I want the game to let me choose whether I practise speaking or listening comprehension. In listening mode, the avatar would speak 80% of the time. In speech mode, I would speak most of the time.

Vocabulary Trainer
I often struggle to remember and use new words. I want a vocabulary trainer that's part of the game, so that it becomes easier for me to learn, recall, and confidently use a wider range of words in my conversations.

Phone Call Mode
It would be interesting to practice shorter phone calls; order, make appointments, etc...

Create Your Own Characters
I often want to tell the character who to be so that itโll be directly applicable to my life. That would be so amazing. For example, I havenโt met a kid character yet and I wanted to practice telling the kids I teach chorus that I learned a bit of their language and to try teaching in the language. The Free Talk is nice because you can choose to talk about music for example, but the character wonโt pretend to be 5 and in a music class for you. Anyway, I understand if thatโs too hard to implement and I appreciate the space to make suggestions!

Higher-level feedback
Right now we already have nice granular feedback on each line of a conversation, but it can sometimes be a little daunting to step through and review everything step by step. It would be really nice to also get feedback on the conversation as a whole - pointing out things like common repeated mistakes, monotony, and anything else that takes the full conversation into account. I am thinking something more longform than the grammar and fluency scores we currently get - more like text-based AI-generated critique. Likewise, feedback on all conversations that you've had so far could also be really interesting to keep an eye on overall progress. (In the interim, being able to export our conversations to do this ourselves could also work!)

Daily/Weekly Quests
I appreciate having clear, specific objectives to guide my learning. I want quests in the game that set concrete goals, like achieving certain performance metrics or practicing specific scenarios, so that I can focus on tangible targets, making my language learning more structured, measurable, and rewarding.

Salon/Barber Location
I think this would be useful because many people go to a hair salon/barber shop regularly. A language barrier is also very stressful at a salon or barber shop, and it requires some specialized vocabulary if you want a specific thing done. You could make it just hair, or you could have different people there that talk about nail and spa stuff too in order to add some variety to it.

At the bank - location
I think having a bank location where you can pretend to open an account, discuss different banking options and products or talking about financial transactions or currency exchange would be really useful for people relocating to a different country. I think this location goes well with the office location helping expand professional/more specific vocab

Celebrity avatars (historical figures)
Ask Einstein to explain the theory of relativity in German, chat with Edith Piaf about what inspired her songs in French or have a conversation with Astrid Lindgren and tell her what you think about her famous Swedish children's stories. Broaden your cultural and historical knowledge in your target language in a fun and interesting way.

New location: Garage/Mechanic
As someone who loves cars it would be nice to be able to talk about them in the language your learning and I'm sure it would be useful for when actually visiting a mechanic or a garage

Library Location
A new location to meet fellow book worms and practice topics like history, politics, science ... you name it!

Homescreen Widget
It would be cool to have a Lingolooper homescreen widget! It could remind us of our streak count, show us avatars that want to talk to us (-> easily jump into loop), or even cycle through our bookmarks to help us remember them. Different sizing options would be appreciated! And maybe the choice between different widgets.. but which one do we need the most?

Streak save
Iโm just going to be honest: I want a streak save, please. Iโm on day 72, I think, for two reasons: I really enjoy this app as I like how you can continue conversations with characters and I really enjoy practicing my languages. I think this app is perfect as it is. The thing is Iโm really sick right now, laryngitis, and I canโt speak for the life of me, and it doesnโt look like Iโm going to be able to speak soon. So Iโm doing all kind of ridiculous things to keep my streak, which for some reason, is pretty important to me as you can understand๐โโ๏ธ. So Mr. LingoLooper, can we have something as simple as a pause button ? Please? Thank you.
